Solid and well-made of an underrated native wood, exhibiting a particularly attractive grain pattern. Overall, this bowl is beautiful in its simplicity. Highly recommended.

The downside to a wood on a hillside is that there is rarely anywhere level to set up camp. This creates problems ranging from putting a cup down to finding a level place to sit whether it be on the floor or in a chair.
So, we built a shelter. All the timber used came from within the woodland and was milled on site except for the odd fence post used to support the joists underneath. In the sub-optimum way things are sometimes the main beams are from Lawson Cyprus (The unpopular sibling to Western Red Ceder (WRC)).
The floorboards are from Ash or Oak and steps were added.
