Tigerwood is the common name for several species of wood from tropical regions. It is also known as Goncalo Alves (Astronum Fraxinifolium), which is found in Brazil. The heartwood is typically a medium reddish brown with irregularly spaced streaks of dark brown to black and it tends to darken with age.
It is currently not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
